Health professionals are now advising people to look away, according to a study from the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.

A group of German investigators has found that, in fact, your past experience with needle pricks, along with information you receive before an injection, shape your pain experience."Throughout our lives, we repeatedly experience that needles cause pain when pricking our skin, but situational expectations, like information given by the clinician prior to an injection, may also influence how viewing needle pricks affects pain," says lead author Marion Höfle, a doctoral student in the research Multisensory Integration group

Struggling to shed the flab? Just sleep over it, literally, say researchers. A new study, led by the University of Washington, has found that sleeping for more than nine hours daily may help a person shed weight -- this is because it counteracts a genetic predisposition to obesity.

It does sound too simple to be true but research is of the view that it really does work. When one tends to sleep for more than 9 hours, the genes acting upon the body in sleep act in such a manner that one tends to decrease weight. On the other hand, those sleeping for less than 7 hours might be at a risk of weight gain.

Kingdom Tower: The World’s Tallest Building

However, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal recently announced plans to build a new tower that will be at least 3,280 feet high.The Kingdom Tower, as it will be named, is more than double the height of the tallest building in the U.S., the Willis Tower (previously named the Sears Tower) that stands 1,451-feet high in Chicago.

Designed by Adrian Smith of AS+GG Architecture, the Kingdom Tower consists of 161 habitable floors in a tower that will be over 1000 meters (3,280 feet) tall. The tower will have a awe inspiring total construction area of 530,000 square meters (5.7 million square feet) of interior space.
