The whole thing is too long but with all those jostling egos to accommodate, that was inevitable. At least we're in entertaining company all the way.Avengers” film is something comic fans have dreamed of since Marvel debuted the title almost 50 years ago. The opportunity to see comic-book icons—Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth)—in one room and let them hang out, and weigh the merits of individualism versus teamwork. scenes of superheroes whooshing around Manhattan and battling an armada from the realm of Asgard look like video games, you have to admire a hot-dog shot like the one in which the camera zigs and zags to catch every single Avenger in midair,The Avengers” makes superhero movies new again

Coming to the details Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) doesn’t appear until nearly 20 minutes in, and Thor 20 minutes after that. But Whedon understands that if you don’t establish the characters, it won’t be possible to make us care when it’s time to rumble.Whedon has been surprisingly artful in persuading us to take this stuff with something more positive than a hoot of derision. He hasn't camped it up. If anything, he's dressed it down.Whedon has given fans a nice balance of polished, but not infinitely protracted action, warring egos, and just enough wit to make it work

It’s simply a well-executed, highly enjoyable summer popcorn movie, which is exactly what it should be.This super-charged blockbuster is a mammoth spectacle which takes the genre to dizzying, rarely-seen heights.
